Our National Commission plans to hold the VII. Intangible Cultural Heritage Winter School in Balıkesir between 18-20 January 2024 with the contributions of the UNESCO Directorate General and in cooperation with Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and UNESCO Accredited Intangible Cultural Heritage Association, with the academic support of AHBVÜ Turkish Folklore Application and Research Centre, AHBVÜ UNESCO Chair for Formal and Non-formal Education of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Balıkesir University and Ege University Institute of Turkic Studies.
The Intangible Cultural Heritage Winter School, the first of which was held in 2017, continues its activities every year around different themes and with the participation of different individuals, experts and institutions. The theme of this year's Winter School has been determined as the evaluation of the contribution to the protection, preservation and transmission of intangible cultural heritage to future generations through postgraduate education, starting from the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention in 2003. For this purpose, student-level participation is expected for the Winter School programme.

Evaluation Criteria:
The selection of participants will be made by the Winter School Evaluation Committee and students who meet the following criteria will be prioritised according to their fulfilment of the criteria. There is no obligation to fulfil all conditions. Depending on the fulfilment of the requirements, an e-mail will be sent to you to inform you whether your application is positive or negative.
Priority criteria are as follows:
- Bütün programa katılacak olmak,
- Yüksek lisans veya doktora yapıyor/yapmış olmak (Somut Olmayan Kültürel Mirasın Korunması Sözleşmesi kapsamında hazırlayan/hazırlamakta olan/tamamlayan),
- Somut Olmayan Kültürel Mirasın Korunması Sözleşmesi kapsamında proje, makale, kitap, kitap bölümü vb. çalışmalar yapmış veya yürütmekte olmak,
- Somut olmayan kültürel miras müzelerinde rehberlik deneyimi olmak.

Belirtilen tarihten sonra iletilen başvurular değerlendirilmeyecektir.
